(You can also access the site by clicking here) Roar (and Shop) with Phoebe! All Phoebe has wanted to do this month is go on a hayride to a pumpkin field and pick her most perfect pumpkin. Even though it was a cold day and she needed a winter coat and hat, nothing was stopping her, or us, from enjoying some quality family time at our favorite farm!
We got to have a private hayride for just the six of us and the entire pumpkin field to ourselves! Phoebe was so excited, she was jumping up and down with so much joy! She took in all the scenery and beauty of fall as we road around the entire farm. She sat in the hay and placed "confetti" with her sisters. As we rounded the corner to the pumpkin patch, her eyes lit up with so much amazement and excitement! She could not wait to get off of the hayride and go find her perfect pumpkin...the one she has been waiting all month to find. She used all of her energy to scamper off into the field of orange, and as soon as she found it, she squealed as loud as she could "I found it mommy! My perfect pumpkin!!" Thank you everyone for all of your prayers! They truly helped! Phoebe is on the up side of this storm. Her drinking has been better today and her output has improved too. She is even starting to get her energy and spunk back! I am so thankful we did not have to go to the hospital! It was a long three days, but we see the light at the end of this tunnel!
It's been a rough 24 hours for our little fighter. She so desperately wants to keep up with her sisters and be like everyone else. Her body just doesn't let her. She went into this weekend with a flare up, but so quickly last night it became worse. She hasn't been drinking enough, which puts her output at less than it should be. We are taking it hour by hour, trying every trick our team of doctors have given us to stay at very least one step ahead of this. For now, she is home resting as best as she can. Praying we won't need to go to the hospital.
Kid sized Roar with Phoebe Rare Disease Awareness bracelets!
Designed in Halloween colors by my amazing and dear friend, Robyn, who was inspired by Kaylee choosing "Stand by You" as a song for her life movie because "my sister has a rare disease that makes her sick so I'm always going to be by her side". Phoebe's kindergarten class had a field trip to an orchard today. We are truly blessed to be in the school district we are. The care and attention they put in to making sure Phoebe is able to participate in these activities with the other kids means more to us than I could possibly express. She was so excited to be able to join her class in picking some of her favorite fruit!
Happy 6th Birthday to our rare gem! Phoebe, you are such a blessing to our family! You have the most unwavering courage and strength, especially for someone so young. Your spirit and love of life radiates in everything you do and everyone you meet. I look at how you handle going through all that you do and you inspire me. You are a champion, my little fighter! I am honored to be your mommy! I love you puddin!
