She still has a thick mucous cough and needs motrin for her temperature (thankfully motrin is now controlling her temp), but the doctors say her lungs are starting to sound like they are clearing up! She is on antibiotics for the pneumonia, but her nebulizer treatments are now only as needed! Since she normally uses an advair inhaler and proair inhaler every day, she has only needed the nebulizer once since Friday!
Each day she has a little more energy, but she does tire out quickly. Her appetite is back to normal, eating from morning until night! Her fluid intake...could be better BUT it isn't horrible! She is hydrated with good intake and output.
She will be home from school at least until the 22nd. Her doctors want to give her adequate time to heal and fully recover. She has had a long rough 2 weeks already and they don't want to see her pick up anything else.
The fight this little girl has amazes me!! From seeing a doctor every day for two weeks, going to the hospital for fluids, breathing treatments every 2 hours, uncontrolled fever... to chalk tasting medicine and controlled fever... #HearHerRoar
