The surgeon told us that many professionals ran a multitude of tests on the node, including a flow cytometry (which they usually only do if specimens appear to be cancerous) and to our relief it was BENIGN!
The official report said the biopsy showed florid follicular and paracortical hyperplasia and focal capsular fibrosis, no specific immunophenotypic abnormalities and negative for flow cytometric evidence of involvement by malignant lymphoma.
Finally a chance to breathe easy!
